Dents & dings

Car Dent & Ding Repair

No two dents are the same. Some are soft and wide, some are sharp and sit on a body line, and some come with cracked paint. Each needs a different approach to pulling and shaping.

We use dedicated pulling tools that reach the dent without removing many parts, and we reshape the metal in stages until it regains its natural curve.

Problems we fix

  • Door dings from neighbouring car doors
  • Rear quarter panel and sill dents
  • Sharp dents on prominent body lines
  • Dents combined with a scratch or cracked paint
  • Roof or bonnet dents from falling objects

Who this is for

  • Dents that cannot be fixed with PDR alone
  • Panels where the paint was damaged along with the dent
  • Owners who prefer repair over replacement
  • Cars that need a smooth result before painting

How we do it

  1. 01

    Assess the dent

Depth, sharpness and paint condition determine the right method.

  2. 02

    Staged pulling

The dent is pulled in stages with dedicated tools to avoid stretching the metal.

  3. 03

    Level the surface

Pull marks are levelled until the panel is true.

  4. 04

    Paint if needed

If the paint was damaged, the panel is prepared for matched paint in the affected area.

How it differs

This service is for dents that usually need surface work and paint, while PDR is for dents where the paint is fully intact. We choose the method after seeing the dent.

What affects cost and time

  • Number, size and depth of dents
  • Location of the dent and access to it
  • Paint damage and need for refinishing
  • Panel material and thickness

We do not quote fixed prices or timeframes before seeing the damage — send photos for an initial assessment.

Questions about this service

Will the dent be invisible afterwards?

We always aim for a seamless result. How invisible it becomes depends on how sharp the dent is and where it sits; we will give you a realistic expectation after inspection.

When should I choose PDR instead?

If the paint is intact with no cracks, PDR may be the right choice. The PDR page explains this in detail.

Can you assess a dent from a photo?

A photo gives a good initial view, especially when taken at an angle that shows light reflecting across the dent.
